This website is owned and managed by Vandertas.

Your use of this website and any purchase by you on this website of handmade accessories by Vandertas will be governed by English Law and will be deemed to have occurred in the United Kingdom.

The Services are operated by Vandertas (“we”). Workshop address at White House Farm, Great Glemham, Suffolk, IP17 1LS

2. Accessing our Service

Access to the Services is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services we provide through the Site without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason any of the Services are unavailable at any time or for any period.

Any personal data and other information provided by you is processed by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By providing any such personal data or other information you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Customer Terms.

3. Copyright

All content included on this website is the property of Nienke Jongsma and is protected by UK and international copyright laws. The content and software on this site may be used as an information and shopping resource. Any other use, including the reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance, of the content on this website without the permission of Nienke Jongsma is strictly prohibited.

Please note that every effort is made to photograph items accurately and describe the products in accurate detail. However, I cannot guarantee every computer monitor will accurately depict the actual colour of the merchandise photographed.

4. Intellectual property rights

We own, or are the licensee to, all right, title and interest in and to the Service, including all rights under patent, copyright, trade secret or trademark law, and any and all other proprietary rights, including all applications, renewals, extensions and restorations thereof. You will not modify, adapt, translate, prepare derivative works from, decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble any other part of the Service.

You must not extract or otherwise use any of the content on the Site and/or Service for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from me.

5. Description of our service

Please note that when you decide to purchase items the resulting legal contract is between you and us and such contract shall compromise of these Customer Terms, the email confirmation of your order and the applicable details on the product page and you agree to be bound by all such provisions.

You should carefully review the email confirmation of your order and the applicable details on the product page in relation to the order. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Customer Terms and the email confirmation of your order or the applicable details on the product page, these Customer Terms shall prevail to the extent of the conflict or inconsistency.

6. Warranties / Disclaimer of Warranties and limitation of liability

This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights against the Seller.

7. Your Order

Each order you place shall be deemed to be an offer by you to purchase the items specified within it subject to the Customer Terms and the applicable details on the product page.

No order shall be deemed to be accepted by us until we issue an email acknowledgement of the order. The contract between you and Vandertas will relate only to those items notified in the email acknowledgement of order.

8. Payment

We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards. Our online payment is managed by Stripe.

9. Postage & Delivery

We use Royal Mail for all of our domestic deliveries. If you have placed your order and would like to change your delivery address, please studio@vandertas.co.uk

I hope you will be able to appreciate that it’s just me (Nienke Jongsma) leading Vandertas forward. Therefore I will attend to all orders and ensure they are packaged safely and delivered by Royal Mail First Class Signed for Service. If you have a special date by which an order is required, please let us know in the order notes at check out, or email studio@vandertas.co.uk, so that I can do my best to accommodate your request. We hope you will be pleased with your order but if you do wish to exchange, could you please arrange delivery to Vandertas within 14 days. All deliveries will require a signature upon arrival.

11. International Delivery

4+ Working Days after despatch

Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of despatch. Vandertas will not be held responsible for any delays caused by postal services.Vandertas ship orders worldwide. All international orders will be posted via Royal Mail International Tracked and may require a signature upon arrival.
We are based in the U.K. therefore please allow enough time for your item to be made and shipped to you.

NB. If your order is to be delivered outside the European Union, it may attract import duty and local sales taxes, which customers will need to pay on receipt of the shipment. Nienke Jongsma of Vandertas is not responsible for any customs or duty charges. Any parcels returned to us due to customs charges being higher than expected; we reserve the right to minus all costs incurred.

12. Despatch

We aim to despatch items within 2 days of accepting your order and payment, however bespoke orders may take a little longer – if given a lead time for your od of your order will be longer than stated Vandertas will get in touch asap.

Vandertas endeavour to notify you via e-mail once your order has been despatched.
Should your item go missing in the post or is damaged upon arrival please notify us as soon as possible. In the case of damaged goods please keep packaging and documentation if possible in order to assist with our service to you and any claims that you may need to make against Royal Mail.

The following up of a claim for compensation from Royal Mail, will be borne by you – the customer; we always obtain proof of postage when shipping out items and therefore it is not the responsibility of Vandertas.
In the unlikely event of receiving incorrect goods please notify us as soon as possible.
Please do not use the item; it is preferable to leave them in the original packaging with all
tags still attached.

13. Returns & Exchanges

We can refund or exchange items, provided they are returned to us in perfect condition and unworn, within 14 days (U.K. & international customers) of you having received the item.

Please e-mail us at: studio@vandertas.co.uk to notify us of your intention to return an item, stating your reason for return.

Your refund will be made by the same method used to make your purchase.

UK orders only applicable per transaction. Therefore if you wish to exchange your item you will have to pay additional shipping costs. To return an item, please contact Nienke Jongsma: studio@vandertas.co.uk

Please allow up to 30 working days upon our receipt of your package for your exchange or refund to be issued.

If you have received damaged goods please email images immediately to Nienke Jongsma: studio@vandertas.co.uk

Bespoke items are made specifically to your requirements and therefore our refund policy does not apply to bespoke goods.

Our refund policy does not apply to any ‘Sale’ items and these particular purchases can not be returned or refunded.

Please send items back by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Royal Mail Special Delivery and request proof of postage, as we will not be held responsible for any items lost during transit.

Please be aware that postage costs will not be refunded on exchanged or returned items unless the item is deemed faulty. In the unlikely event of a fault, we will refund, exchange or replace the item as soon as possible.

We have strict quality control measures in place to ensure that we do not supply our customers with faulty goods. Items cannot be deemed as faulty if the fault is a result of wear and tear, improper care or improper use.

All Vandertas accessories are handmade, each piece is special and we ask that you take care of your purchase so that you can treasure it for years to come. As each item is handmade, slight variations may occur in production.

When sending an item back for a return or exchange it should be posted with full insurance and using a Tracked delivery service as we cannot be responsible for any returns lost or delayed in the post.

14. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are available to buy online and valid one year from date of purchase. 

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and have no cash value. Giftcards cannot be transferred, forwarded or re-assigned without given any prior notice to Vandertas. Failing to do so, the gift card can not be accepted. Please contact us at:

15. Promotional code terms and conditions

15.1. By using a promotional code you will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.

15.2. The terms and conditions on the Site shall apply to promotional codes. If and to the extent there is a conflict or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Site and these pro- motional code terms and conditions, the promotional code terms and conditions shall prevail to the extent of the conflict or inconsistency. The defined terms used in the site Terms and Conditions shall also apply to these promotional code terms and conditions.

15.3. Vandertas promotional codes can only be used on www.vandertas.co.uk and towards the purchase of items currently featured on our Site, excluding delivery charges.

15.4. Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer on vandertas.co.uk, including (but not limited to) any other Vandertas promotional code, in the same transaction, or for the purchase of gift vouchers.

15.6. The discount associated with a promotional code is applied to your entire basket, excluding any delivery charges. Promotional codes are a combination of letters and numbers, eg, SUKVST1234567, and should be entered on the payment page during checkout for the discount to apply.

15.7. Each promotional code will have a limited time period in which to be used and/or a maximum number of orders per code. The code will be invalid once these limits have been reached. Specific terms and conditions for each promotional code setting out any such limits can either be found in the communication you received with the code itself.

15.8. Vandertas reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel any promotional code, at any time, in the event of circumstances arising which make it necessary to do so. Vandertas may update these terms from time to time and reserves the right to add additional terms and conditions for specific promotional codes as and where necessary. You should review the promotional code terms and conditions periodically for changes.

15.9. Promotional codes have no cash value, cannot be transferred and cannot be forwarded or re-assigned.

15.10. Any refund you may be entitled to receive will not include the redemption value of the promotional code. You will receive no more than the amount you paid towards the final basket price.

16. Workshop cancellations & Refunds

If you are unable to attend your booked workshop and it’s notified more than 14 days in advance of the start date, then we can offer an alternative date.

If cancellation is within 14 days of your workshop, we are unable to offer a refund. We do appreciate that sometimes-unforeseen circumstances may mean that you can’t attend so we are happy for you to send along a friend to take your place. We will need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.

Our right to cancel a workshop
Should we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will aim to give you as much notice as possible of the cancellation. We will give you a full refund or if you prefer a transfer to an alternative available course, space permitting. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any liability for travel or other costs.
